Substack is a wonderful platform and while we are using it for one purpose who is to say it won’t evolve over time as user consumption changes.

This site has many wonderful paid content from the greatest minds in the world from culture to finance. It also allows either a bird’s eye view of the world or learning about the mechanics of any given topic.

So other than AI, this is the place to get a meatier diet than anywhere else.

For most of you, we read and consume without any real focus - entertainment. Even if it’s for finance and investing, it’s not as if we are going to get a certificate of accomplishment for reading any of the content.

Lately, I’ve been scrolling down and reading what interests me, bookmarking the rest. So much I’m leaving on the table, and while consuming, am I digesting the stuff I’m reading?

I do know that I’m reacting to the content I’m seeing and, apparently, I have an opinion for everything. It’s exciting to be part of something albeit in my small way.

Anyone that takes the time to read past articles would have had some nice juicy ideas before the influencers, the news, the technicians, and the smart people come out.

Substack, or any no-noise medium, allows you to think about things and contemplate before the masses join in.

What excites me here is sharing opportunities that few perceive. Unfortunately, when it’s done as presented, I may not sound that smart or informed.

I’m reminded of the time when I was on the phone pitching resource stocks to potential investors right at the end of 2020 and Shopify, Bitcoin, and Gamestop were on their lips. Take a minute to consider what happened to all of them.

They were just not interested in a portfolio. It’s my job to make it interesting, which I apparently didn’t do very well (when someone doesn’t know you only by the firm and your voice, you have to adapt).

Another thing I realized: no one is going to give you an answer. It just happens by coincidence. So stop trying to find a golden panacea. For the most part we are all just trying, but you don’t have unlimited time each day, you can’t control everything.

It is for these people that I’m catering to. The geniuses out there, nope.

With that, I’m developing software that helps you generate ideas about trends on stocks, crypto, and commodities that institutions use but you don’t due to cost. Another reason most people don’t know it exists is the terminology used. If you can’t define it, you won’t be able to find it on search or AI.

This week’s example: Greenland.

Geopolitically, Greenland is important, but we do have NATO that should align with the USA. So why the disagreement when Ukraine and Russia consensus exists? Both the Canadian and Greenlandic parties on the island seem very left-leaning, and they usually align more with China than with US priorities.

So what does that mean for Arctic minerals, rare earth supply chains, and the companies exposed to either outcome? What happens to US investors who own foreign stocks if we’re going it alone? Won’t these foreign countries tax us on stock ownership?

If you're watching specific stocks or sectors around this, drop a comment below and I'll share my take."
