Book of Mamdani
Truth is Greater than Fiction
First, the good news.
It’s not the end of the world, and Communism and anarchy won’t be spreading throughout the US because some Ugandan may become mayor of NYC.
Unfortunately, the reason why is that it’s already here. What we are seeing is the symptom of a long-term, creeping issue that is now evident to everyone involved—from Columbia to Gracie Manor.
In fact, from my brief review of history, we voted in our first Socialist mayor in Milwaukee in 1910, and Wisconsin, and the city did alright. Just lately, from 2020 to the present, these kinds of politicians have been winning more offices. Because, as anyone who has learned (until school is banned) in science class, the #1 rule of physics is inertia:
“An object in motion will stay in motion with constant velocity in a straight line until acted upon.”
I think we are all aware of the current political movement, which aligns with a 100-year trend and takes time to exert itself. But the fact remains that once individuals recognize which side of the issue they will focus on and effect change, that is the moment a shift will occur. Our DNA is built to change once we become self-reflexive.
But when you are older and not wiser, you think you know everything, so in your ivory tower, or 10th-floor penthouse, you take pride in being an Atheist or communist, but you lose focus as NYC may be doing, and the hard work and accomplishments of people with different views. Additionally, you will overlook one of the most amazing “possible” discoveries I read recently.
Apparently, our universe may be in a black hole. From recent observations from the law of probability, there should be a few universes going one way and a few another, ala chaos theory, but that’s not what is being observed.
Instead, it seems our universe and all the other universes are moving in non-random motion, carried along by a larger force. I’ll leave the higher-power talk for someone else, but say it’s like we are in a washing machine, being pulled along—socks, underwear, pants, and maybe something valuable as well. All in the same direction.
The trend is powerful. And it takes time to heal, to learn, and to move forward.
Here is a wonderful real-world example of a trend in its infancy: AI infrastructure. Everywhere you look, it’s AI that’s saving the US economy (until we realize we don’t need humans and no more dry cleaning).
It was only since 2022 that NVDA made its historic move to a $5 trillion company. Yet it was only last year that we realized it had to do with AI. Previously, it was for crypto mining. But the real investors and entrepreneurs were laying the foundation for many years already, while we were working on DEI and what is going on in Washington, not how we can grow our assets
From the WSJ, Silicon Valley planned “years” to create data center sites.

This is a big reason why people, Michaely Burry are fearful of a replay of a crash as it’s obvious to people. The simple, the obvious may come true. But I’m here to say that you shan’t be nervous if you keep looking at the root cause and try find where the trend is.
Will Socialism break before AI? It is a good question to ask.
So today is the day. November 4
The day Dick Cheney, the neocon from day one in the 70s, passed away, to a day where a new mayor, a new religion, and a new perspective may shine on NYC. Very symbolic.
Will Mamdani, an outspoken politician with the heart of Marx, or Cuomo, whose family has lived in Manhattan since 1900, reclaim what is his by heritage?
What I don’t see occurring are jokes. Humor. You got that already. Let’s look at it from the Broadway show, Book of Mormon.
And it’s so convenient since that musical was about Mormons who went to Uganda on a missionary trip, and shenanigans ensue through music and stereotypes.
The exact opposite is occurring now, where a Ugandan is in NYC as a Communist missionary to change the character of the city. Just read the papers to see what’s happening. The sequel writes itself: The Book of Mamdani. A Ugandan comes to Manhattan to spread Marxism.
The music’s the same, the dancing’s better, but everyone has to split the tips. Of course, if I got a few free meals at Katz’s deli maybe I would reconsider.
Life imitates art.
The creators of the show are the creators of the long-running comedy staple South Park. And like any good comedy from Hollywood, they target the easy, the weak, and the good-hearted. Because if they didn’t, they would be kicked out of town or worse.
One of the press releases for the musical shared “…created a laugh-out-loud comedy about the Mormon religion that takes a pop at organised religion, consumerism, the current economy, and the musical theatre genre itself. For context, the trio took a trip to Salt Lake City to meet with current and former Mormon Missionaries.”
Who is making it on the current political views on the Left?
While it’s easy to show Trump sleeping with the Devil, it’s not on more touchy subjects.

Matt Stone and Trey Parker may have been blessed with a billion dollars’ worth of childlike humor and a long enough takeoff to hone it, but, alas, after this election cycle in NYC between Mamdani and Cuomo, they will never be able to elevate themselves since they didn’t step up and elevate their comedy and high jinx.
To be clear, I’m not a fan of mocking people’s politics; everyone has a need that a particular political view scratches.
But if your comedy brand is to mock people for being unaware and ignorant of their place in their world, then you didn’t do your job. It says to me that you then have an agenda.
But they are good at observation when push comes to shove. Here is what a message board shared:
“I’m an ex-Mormon and served a full-time mission. This is accurate but at the expense of naive kids. They’re really taught that this is what God wants them to do. Long story short, I worked hard but it was all bullshit. For a long time I was angry at God because I lost my belief system, but happy to report that I’m doing great. Full-blown happy Catholic. The play is hilarious and has helped me accept or laugh at what I did for two years. That “turn it off” bit was taught to me lol.”
I’ll conclude with the song list of Book of Mormon. The creators’ style is big, broad… and while their subjects fit their politics, it does reflect a perspective, not an agenda.
When that occurs, insight can be found because you can adopt it to the situation which is why great art outlives the generation.
Can it be said about our politics?
My favorite song of the show, “I’m going to Baptize her…” reflects the mind virus plaguing people.
But the song is better than that, as it shows that behind the words, there is something deeper.
Love, passion, lust
What controls it?
Apparently, whoever is turning the washing machine on and off.
So don’t get too carried away because you are in it along with the rest of the wardrobe: socks, shirts, undies, your phone, and maybea few bucks you left in your walle.t
Today the market’s down, the dollar’s up, and somewhere in the cosmic spin cycle, someone forgot to add fabric softener.”
But they will in the voice of Scott Bessent.
