I did buy a small piece of AAOI before their last earnings call and just went crazy right after the print and bought at the market open and held the stock and then sold it in the mid $150. My honest take: this can go both ways, either it moons if management executes and the ramp goes according to schedule and no change on their customer side or the overall AI CapEx theme, or we crash and they go back to 2017-18 AAOI. Back then, I was an engineer testing their modules. A lot hash changed since!
My project is to take your insight and see if those applied to the beginning of software or railroads and see if we can see any patterns from newspaper clippings of the past.
