The media, and even ZeroHedge, have given the impression that he is more interested in controlling the price of Oil and ensuring a bid (bottom) on the SP500 then truly ending Iran.
Additionally, the only time in my life that I can recall where smart pundits are rooting for Iran and not the country they live in all under not wanting boots on the ground.
As Trump is a newcomer to politics and leader of the free world, the critics are out saying that he has been given bad advice and that he is in it over his head.
So is it surprising to see headlines like this?
I may sound like I support Trump but that’s not the purpose of my post, life, or mission. He’s the president and in the news and he creates abrasiveness. As a result, emotions over context has created the volatility you are seeing.
I hope that a few thoughts will help you navigate the news.
WORD CHOICE
Nears - that’s fear induced. It’s going to happen any time so stay tuned.
Push - Gas prices dictates policy in Washington. Trump is only worried about the voters.
Talks - with Iran. Rather surrender. He will surrender our ideals to keep those gas prices cheap.
CONTEXT
The economy will buckle over if gas prices reach a certain level.
Trump’s only focus is the midterms and not about running and operating a country.
Trump is all bark and no bite. He has one tactic, and that is to bluff his way to a concession.
MENTAL FLOSS
Biden wasn’t impeached, nor deprived of funding to a war in East Europe when the Russian/Ukrainian hostilities occurred.
In fact, if you look at this chart, Oil price were significantly higher and stayed that high for a slightly longer period than today. So the argument is wrong as the economy and stock market are roaring.
Additionally, when COVID happened OIL turned NEGATIVE which was when the economy tanked.
What’s pushing Trump is the Judiciary, the Lawsuits, Politics and resolutions to curb Trump’s war powers, Election integrity, and outcompeting Russia. As mentioned in #1, the Ukrainian Russian war didn’t push Biden as the war is still outgoing.
Talks? That is what a negotiator does and that is what was war “pushes” you to do.
From Clausewitz, the famous Prussian military philosopher, to General Colin Powell the essence of war is to negotiate under fire.
This is one of the rare times in history that a generation hasn’t served or have a circle of friends that didn’t neither. The comprehension and context of war and conflict is lost on most.
I would argue context is the glue that keeps things together. Since that’s not going to happen, you have to do this for yourself.
In conclusion, Headlines don’t merely report events. They frame how you’ll interpret them before you’ve seen any evidence.
Before accepting or rejecting a story, ask three questions:
Why did the editor choose these specific words instead of others?
What context is missing?
What assumptions should I clear from my mind?
That habit won’t eliminate bias, but it will make you a more thoughtful reader.

there's bias built in to any ai from its training data, so if you are thinking of training yours as arbiter of truth and fact that is quite challenging. also i wonder how your will compete with existing solutions like Ground News, which I have not tried, but purports to do the same.
