Good Vibrations
The Mindset to be successful in a bull market
Everyone has missed an opportunity in life.
And even when it’s sitting right in front of you, somehow, you still manage to mess it up.
That’s not bad luck.
That’s mindset.
Good vibrations.
Music has always mattered to me.
It calms my nerves.
Clears the noise.
But there’s something else going on with great musicians.
Consistency.
Same energy.
Same rhythm.
Year after year.
Today, music is basically free.
You can stream the best work ever made for nothing.
What people forget is how long it took to get that good.
Years of failure.
Years of doubt.
Years where nobody cared.
Mindset #1: It’s not easy. Enjoy it anyway.
The payoff comes later.
And when it comes, it’s worth it.
The Rolling Stones’ first U.S. hit was written by the Beatles.
They never hid that.
They never pretended otherwise.
They paid tribute to the people who came before them.
You can find videos of the Stones “ripping off” early blues musicians.
That’s not theft.
That’s respect.
Mindset #2: Be humble. Surround yourself with greatness.
Not what social media tells you is great.
What you know is great.
Most great songs use three chords and a 4/4 beat.
The rhythm changes.
The structure doesn’t.
You never see one musician dominate every genre.
Nor should you try.
Mindset #3: Stay in your lane.
As Obama once told the UK — stay in your lane.
It works better for investors too.
Rap.
Jazz.
Rock.
Classical.
All good.
All different.
There was a time record stores sold a little bit of everything.
No judgment.
No panic.
You don’t need to jump from one thing to the next.
Learn from everything.
Commit to something.
Trends change.
If you’re riding a real wave, don’t jump off early just because it feels uncomfortable.
Mindset #4: If you hit it big, go with the flow.
You’re in the right place for a reason.
There will be time to exit.
That time is usually later.
Even one-hit wonders often get three good years.
That’s not an accident. Trends don’t end right away.
Mindset #5: Think highly of yourself — and the future.
If you have a successful brother in the biggest boy band of all time, New Kids on the Block, then try something different.
But attach yourself to the Camelot era of JFK
Good Vibrations
But with a Rap beat
then Reinvent when it’s time.
When Calvin Klein fades, become a movie star.
Adapt without apologizing.
Mindset #6 Stress ruins good vibrations.
Over-leverage ruins everything.
Optimism and gratitude last longer than hype.
The trend I’m sharing basically daily is Silver with music, humor, and insight.
Not much else to do. I’ve been participating since 1998.
Silver helped found this country’s monetary system and eradicate Werewolves from this world.
I still think we may be early in a multi-year commodities cycle.
Yes, commodities spike and pull back.
But real paradigm shifts last years and lifetimes.
Plenty of time.
