Have you ever been confused?
Stop being opinionated
Yesterday, many announcements from the White House and Iran about what, if anything, is going on in terms of negotiations.
I see in my X feed this:
The same report, but two completely divergent opinions.
Why do I do this to myself?
I’m sceptical.
I don’t have an opinion, and I don’t want to be validated. What I am looking for are truly authentic voices, not intentionally trying to “outrage” me or have me say “preach.”
I want my social feed to be like a wonderful “happening” coffee shop or bar where you can have a drink, observe, overhear, and maybe chime in once in a while.
What I don’t want is some guy being loud and arguing, ruining the vibe.
Not everyone will play, and most will ignore me.
And yet…
I think this is the way to enjoy your time connecting with the world.
Then I see this
and I don’t even know what to say
Is this a joke?
Is this dude Peter Jackson?
JR Tolkien
How many unrelentless tweets will have to be seen from Yorch Torch Games on this?
But I saw this in the comments on Colbert, and it inspired me to write the conclusion of this piece
Throwing away something you KNOW is evil or not GOOD for you, is tough as well.
EVIL and BAD HABITS eat away at you but it’s relentless
We, humans, are a stubborn sort (and probably for good reason)
The only way I know to beat it is to not be sucked into anyone's opinion you truly are not familiar with.
Be open-minded and confident in yourself and your abilities.
And like LOTR taught us, have a good posse that has your back
They’ll help
Build your circle carefully.
