My Dad & John Lennon are Right
It's best to hide your love away
The most valued subscriber to my Substack, for right or for wrong, my dad called me up and was concerned that I was very critical of Jim Cramer and CNBC in my post:
And that maybe down the road they’ll read what I have to say, and return the favor when I too will get a pie in the face.
Whatever, you’re just imagining things.
But when I read this in the morning, well, I’m flabbergasted.
Apparently these bloggers rubbed eBay the wrong way, and they sent cockroaches, pigs' blood, and a funeral wreath to their home while doing online harassment, including online posts inviting strangers to their house for sex.
And vandalism of their homes.
I bet you didn’t hear this story before, right?
One of the largest tech companies on the planet chose to use their prominence, power, and prestige to target two critics emotionally and physically.
Where else has this happened?
Anyone who disagreed with Anthony Fauci and the COVID policies of the past. Recently, Fauci’s diary and emails, which were not deleted, have been released to the public, and it appears that we were not told or guided correctly throughout the ordeal.
www.ZeroHedge.com, a must-read for business and politics, covered COVID in a negative light; an article made it all the way to Fauci’s desk, where their thoughts were…heavily redacted, but coincidentally around this time, its Twitter account was shut down.
So kudos to some of our more spirited American individuals who can talk truth to power, but in this era where might is increasingly making right, unless something changes, it may be harder to find.
But today is not that day.
It’s refreshing to see on the same day that the bloggers won their lawsuit against eBay, we see Fauci on national television plead the Fifth
I do not gloat in anyone’s downfall, but I hope and pray that when the next pandemic comes (may it never) that we will trust our health officials to be transparent with us and tackle the problem with us.
If not, and there is no trust, the alternative is tough to imagine.
Without the accountability of our corporations and political leaders, as we are observing throughout the world, all of us will be forced to hide our love away, and every day that occurs, a little bit of us dies with it, like a rose without sunlight.
When I hear this song, it always haunts me.
But don’t let it.
Instead take some of these thoughts to make it a powerful day,
Eric
