Persia ruined my weekend
For the most part, I had a nice weekend, filled with enthusiasm, but who am I kidding?
Friday before all of this, my daughter was called into her counselor’s office with the father of her friend there, yelling at her, accusing my 15-year-old of kidnapping his 18-year-old daughter.
The man was Persian
They sure like to exaggerate
And I told her that while I have had wonderful business relationships with them, and they are among the smartest people you would ever meet
Persians, nevertheless, are crazy, so best to avoid dealing with them
My friends told me (not just one) how they are very attractive, and they enjoyed dating them. Personally, stood my ground on that it’s a one-way ticket to freaky town.
In the back of my mind, my investor framework was saying, the Persian is probably attuned to his motherland, and something is up.
With the world as it is, that is a tell. Unfortunately, I didn’t want my daughter to have to experience that, and then…
When I was teaching her to drive, a guy pulls out of nowhere, and she is about to hit the rear of the car, and I’m YELLING, and she just zoned out
and made me madder, as safety is a concern of mine as
ESPECIALLY now with so many people in the US, unfortunately, broke
And the public transport system is a joke
Folks are walking, e-biking, Bicycling, and using the roads for more space as if we didn’t have enough hazards to look out for.
What’s a dad to do?
Sometimes we have to experience things ourselves and stand back. But I’m so busy that I have no idea how to allocate my time or where to focus my compassion.
When overwhelmed, I go for a walk and talk things over.
Or get calls from family members catching up.
I do know that when you are digesting news and media that is set up for continuous consumption, it is not set up for actual reality and how the situation in the Middle East can benefit you.
I am watching it just like you are, but I am asking a few questions before getting distracted
What do I know about Iran? Israel? US history in Middle East?
Go to Wikipedia to learn, not AI, see how the conventional opinion is structured
Ask your military veteran friend/relative who was there. Ask someone from the Middle East why they moved to your neck of the woods
If the news is saying it helps Israel and not the US, has the news been truthful of late?
Iran and the US have been in an unofficial war since Iran-Contr,a so consider geopolitics
And what benefits does the US have being a superpower, and what are the obligations of a superpower?
For myself, I enjoy sharing with you things that are not exactly public information or that I have personally experienced, because those are things you cannot replicate with AI.
I would rather watch this show than another pundit on TV opinion of Iran.
The US had 50 years to plan for this, and Trumphad 8 years, and I pray for every service member in harm’s way
I can care less about the price of Oil.
I care about the future of my family and my country. Will worry about portfolio and ideas shortly.
My friend, a military vet, said this is a good website for donations

Seize the day,
