Yesterday, Afshine Emrani MD FACC tweeted something very relevant to finding people to work for you.

His advice focused on the younger generation who are going to be starting out in the workforce:

1. Be On Time

2. Show Up & Do the Work

3. Give Your Best

4. Be Positively Contagious

5. Have an Attitude of #Gratitude

6. Seek Solutions

7. Have Passion

8. Be ready to learn

9. Do More Than What’s Required

10. Show everyone respect

On Substack, my impression is that I cover all 10 like I do every day in business, and yet there are no paid subscribers.

:(

Hence, I’m an unpaid intern.

And yet, these 10 principles I live by

But when you hold yourself to a higher standard its hard to tolerate fools

and a dumb mistake you make

Which is why many times, I may shoot my mouth off in a way that people don’t appreciate,

like my dad, who has his own way about him, and we have many disagreements between us

And yet I always find him wiser when I step into his shoes, though I wish he would open his horizons, but that makes him who he is

But for strangers and people who want to earn an income with me,

You've got to step up, buddy

I am easy goin,g but make no mistak,e if you are just going to mope around and expect a paycheck and forget half the things I asked to do because you want to leave at 4 pm

NOT COOL DUDE

In real life, what I have found in hiring (and firing) people

You will rarely find all 10 of these traits, let alone 5, let alone 3

Currently, I think the work ethic is like Sodom and Gomorrah, find me ONE trait someone has let alone TWO

Once we get out of the morass, the US economy will surge

Not from short cuts, hacks, AI, and automation, but an appreciation of the bounty God has bestowed on this country, and for my foreign reader,s on your wonderful country

And if your leaders are not appreciative, get the hell out

Always time to move back

It dawned on me that if you find 6 or more traits, they probably want to start their own business.

And yet, in my limited observation of great leaders, I always liked the fact that Larry Ellison, unlike every multi-billionaire, hires the best.

And many times conflicts and competitors arise from this

And never fearing the future to bet big on your vision

Sometimes, if you have many of the 10 traits, you also have to realize you may not be in a position to start out on your own, and you have to have “gratitude” for whatever you are given in the present.

SBF, the jerkoff leader of FTX, has been tweeting that his company’s FTX position in Anthropic would be worth $35 billion now and would give ample time to pay off creditors.

What would the CEO of Lehman say to the economy and its debt bouncing back?

Trump was bankrupt, and the creditors saw potential in the man for great things in the futur,e and look at him now

If you apply those 10 wonderful rules every day of your life, and if an adverse situation arises, I’m absolutely certain people will work with you as opposed to what occurred with FTX and Lehman.

You can hate the men I mention, but show me an example of Larry Ellison and Donald Trump going about their day WITHOUT enthusiasm.

When you take the leap and pay the modest fee, I’ll know what is working and you’ll take the extra step in giving me essential feedback to better serve.

What you are receiving if it’s not clear

ideas that are not common and the returns won’t be as well

The returns did two things:

Avoid cryptocurrency and NVDA at tops

Pointed out the big winners at bottoms

And software that costs over $100,000 of developement and server expense.

The difference between I’m presenting to you is leverage of your $5

Of time and expense.
