Why I don't talk #s
It's an emotional crutch
While I like seeing my logic play out, beneficially and as expected, in financial markets (and life), I don’t enjoy putting a number to it.
For me, at least, if you put a number on your success, then, therefore, there is a number on your failure.
But what if the failure has no number? What if, by grinding through that adverse period, it becomes a success?
What I aim for in my writing and thinking is to focus on logic and to be persistent within a framework with a degree of latitude. Because if your thinking aligns with your subject matter, it’s a real special moment. With AI, data and #s are all crunchable. They are quantified through a model, an outlook.
What is missing in school and professional life is a need for good old-fashioned logic that flies in the face of your conventions.
You know: shake shit up.
In one of my morning missives on video, I engaged in a conversation about Krispy Kreme and why it had merit at $3.30. And it’s now about $4.30
He said, “I’ll sell you as many shares as you want.”
That’s what you get for stopping by. Sweet advice that doesn’t add calories to your diet.
(Guess where I discussed this company)
And for $5, you’ll get a wonderful 8-part model that doesn’t take long to use each week.
Really. What’s better is that you don’t need to use it. For paid subscribers, I share my observations on how to use it. A podcast on what’s working.
Need more motivation?
If you spend 15 minutes griping about Trump, reading inaccurate news “alerts,
$5 may clear your mind.
Make it a pleasant Friday,
Eric
